No! Tests have shown that the average person rarely goes over 5gb of storage of Backtracks in the Background. The app stores recordings locally on your computer and overwrites those files repeatedly. If you find Backtrack taking up too much storage for your liking, you may always go to the settings screen and decrease the recording limit.
Does it make my system slow?
No! Backtrack is optimized for the latest Macs and you shouldn't see much of a difference day-to-day in speed. However, if you're on an older Mac or OS, you may see your system slow down. You may go to your settings screen and disable screen recording to get an extra boost.
Do I have to pay to upload?
Nope! You get 50 free uploads and after that you pay to get more on either the Basic or Pro plan
Do I have to pay to download my Backtracks?
Nope! As always, you can download Backtracks free forever
I'm concerned about privacy
Don't worry, recording happens in the background, local to your Mac, and will never stream your screen or microphone anywhere. If you wish to share your recordings, you may upload and by default your recordings are only accessible by you. If you wish to share out to your team or publicly, you may choose manage access through the settings screen on the web recording itself.
